P.V. Alexander Ministries operates both a School of Nursing and a College of Nursing. The need for properly trained healthcare workers is great at our Mercy Hospital, as well as throughout Kerala.
Mercy School of Nursing
P.V. Alexander Ministries operates a School of Nursing that is recognized by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council. The school opened in 2000 and currently accommodates 100 students.
The Nursing School Facilities include a five-story building that houses offices, classrooms, tutor rooms, a library and living quarters. Students graduate from the three-year program with an LPN degree.

In 2005, we were sanctioned by the Indian Government to open a College of Nursing. The college opened its doors in 2006. Students graduate with a bachelor's degree in Nursing (RN).
In addition to technical training, nursing students and staff participate in morning and evening pray meetings. Our patients are also invited to attend these meetings. Many young Indian women are first introduced to Jesus Christ during their training at the Nursing Schools.
Students are accepted into the nursing programs based on academic grades. Students must pay tuition, but financial assistance is available.
Many RN and LPN graduates to on to work in other countries and send financial support back to their families in India.
